SPRINKLING

It has been a little hazy here in MN lately with off and on rain. The luscious result is dense greenery all around, it is lovely. It is nice that the sun has peeked it's head throughout each rainy day though. I tend to get child-like and jump in puddles and splash. I do take precautions on staying dry though :) Simple is definitely my take on dressing in the morning lately, you never know what the day may bring.

OVERSIZED TEE

I am super into light denim right now. Now that summer is nearing I am feeling that laid back part of me start to kick back in. I don't like to wear fussy clothes. Must be why I buy my shirts a size or 2 too big. If you ask me people (and bloggers) are making their outfits way too fussy. I am a mom, I don't do fussy when my kids are with me. Maybe it is my Midwestern approach but gosh I have no idea how Victoria Beckham wears YSL heels to her kids soccer games...

BRIGHT LIPS

I am thrilled to announce that snow has taken this year off and we have headed straight for spring. It's true- just ask GapKids and their new arrival of swimwear! Plus, it is almost like I am in Nashville with Liz with these 48 degree temps!! I will hang on to every moment that I do not have to wear my jackets. I am not even saddened that they are sitting in my closet un-used. Ok, a little sad but I will get over it. Oh, I have moved into my new Christmas gifts already... have you?? This denim shirt I have been waiting hard for. I knew I was getting it, it was just a matter of not wearing it before Jesus' birthday... that was tough!!

I am also happy to announce that my 6 year old niece loves being my new photographer- MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!! Plus, her rates are cheap... silly faces and the candy bowl are enough to keep on task! Hopefully this photog lasts longer than my other ones... ha!

THE BEST DAYS FOR LAYERS

It's been a rainy week so I decided to do shorts with leggings so that I can actually wear my favorite knit shorts. Such a great way to wear shorts through fall and winter. My favorite fall purchase so far has been my vegan leather Free People jacket - I wear it almost every day!

8 inches of rain

It may have been sunny out but the sloshy grass and major puddles called for wellies. I barely stayed dry trying keeping 2 boys out of puddles. It was an attempt that I found nearly impossible so I gave up after a short battle! By the end of this outing my shorts were black and muddy. It was a fun day and I was glad to put the camera away and just enjoy it:)

Polyvore Challenge

Our Polyvore challenge this week is definately an item that is a close take on our personal styles that we wear day in and day out. Hunter Wellies started as a want (ya know, for the days you want to look cute when it rains) and for the 2 of us they quickly transitioned in to our "how on earth can I make my outfit work to wear them even though it is sunny out" boots. Very practical- we know, thanks.
