Winter is back for the past couple days, so I was excited to pull out this Madewell sweater again. It's my absolute favorite. I had to get at least one more wear out of both of these pieces for dinner out for my husband's birthday.

Going to the theater I always feel a little anxious. I always romanticize it to be more proper than it has become. I want it to be the place where people wear their best furs and opera coats heels! When I arrive the judgmental me comes out and I cringe when I see pleated khakis and northface jackets. What happened to dressing up? Are times REALLY that tough?? However, I was delighted to see a young woman wearing somewhat of a fascinator on her hat. She vanished into the crowd to quickly to ask for her photo. A fascinator? really? And I thought I was overdressed...! I did wear my fur jacket and I got many sideways glances- pretty sure people thought I nuts (I am, but shhhhh). So anyways the show was breathtaking (obviously!) and I want to go again (obviously!) and I will wear my fur to the show (obviously!)

SHOPPING DOWNTOWN

Our mini trip downtown, as it turns out, was the place to debut my Missoni for Target jacket. I should have taken pictures of all the people I spotted wearing the line! I actually got a lot of acknowledgements on my coat! I must admit I found in the little girls section! Love the print and the colors, and kind of excited that not many adults will have it!! Did any of you get out and buy Missoni for Target pieces?

So I thought I was going to branch out of my little box, but it looks like I love being trapped in here. I was going to sport the look sans the black jeans, but just before leaving the house I totally chickened out. Let's be real I am no hot starlet. I like how it looks with my black skinnies anyways (still trying to convince myself). I decided to add red lips to vamp it back up...
