THEY LOOK HOMEMADE CAUSE THEY ARE...

I need the novella royale bells like NOW! These are just awful wannabes.

OH , YES!!! They sure look good from a distance! They also look fabulous in this foggy romantic lighting. I may actually pass for a cool chick.
OOOh then this happens. Let me show you a little secret. The fly/ crotch is horrifying. Not only is it like a mile long...  but they barely staying up thanks to a purple shoe lace. When I sit you can see my entire rear. Thus the mullet tank top to cover such hideous visuals.
This is me posing super cool.
This is me showing that PARSON'S won't be calling me anytime soon. Unfinished hems. TSK TSK. What can I say I have never sewn pants before.

Why did I attempt to make my own pants? Well let me puh-lease tell you. This super rad brand named Novella Royale make these kick bomb pants here. But I can not seem to find them anywhere else online. On twitter they said that they were completely sold out. GOOD FOR THEM. BAD FOR ME. This was my attempt at holding myself over until they gave me a pair I could find the ones I want. Which are really the Lapis Santorini. So if you ever spot them do me a solid and buy em for me mmmk (even if they are some funky pattern)! Until then I will attempt to figure out how to keep my junk in the trunk of these.

IN SOME PLACES THEY HAVE SUMMER...

Apparently I was for-seeing something when I bought this cape/blanket/shall/thing. I saw it in the store and it looked an awful lot like something you may see in the stores in october. But being the silly smart girl that I am, I purchased it anyways. Little did I realize how bad MN sucks and I would need it all summer  early fall summer.  I think I will get more use out of it than I thought. If it ever does get warmer than 65 degrees then I can just use it as a cape when I play superheroes with the boys. Yeah that sounds good.

I am totally in love with the hippie meets gypsy look. I guess you would assume it is my severe love of all things 70's and vintage. But also it is just  realistic and comfortable to live in! I am totally open for suggestions of places to shop or brands that you guys love carrying this look. 2 of my current favorites are The_Stone_Cold_Fox and NovellaRoyale

an old school house

The sun, as common, went abroad
The flowers, accustomed, blew,
As if no sail the solstice passed
That maketh all things new
-Emily Dickinson

I love this old school house near our home. They revamped it into a seasonal store that is only open in the fall. It is pretty much in its original state.  They carry a bunch of random things that you would find in your grandmother's attic. So awesome. It is actually on shared property with a graveyard. Oddly, I find it very peaceful, and not at all eery.

I'm breezy

This just wouldn't be the same without a little dose of reality. Yes, that includes a little blonde head in the corner of the photo. It also kind of looks like I am in one of those circus houses with all the creepy mirrors that transform your body. I kind of like it!

The wind obviously got a little carried away- I kind of wish my hair stayed up in the air like that the rest of the day. It was a good look for me. but the semi dress/pants look was not so good for me...

Now I am not normally the girl who sits around the house in a silk maxi dress but as soon as this Gypsy05 dress arrived from Black Label Boutique I could not help myself. I even carefully ate a bowl of ice cream in it. I actually have to brag that I won this in their freebie friday blog post! Can you believe that! I have to admit dresses are not my go-to when it comes to purchasing things, however, I am pretty sure this has revived my dying relationship with dresses. I am probably going to be living in it for the summer months to come. I also felt a little ridiculous trying to compete with Charlotte, Minka, and Carmen for who wore it best so I gave up and through a totally different look into the mix!
